Jim Ramsay Clock Collection
The Jim Ramsay Clock Collection is a collaboration between Paulin and the artist, Jim Ramsay. Each dial has been individually designed and screen-printed in Jim's studio in the East End of Glasgow.
For this series of clock dials, Jim embraced the unpredictable nature of the screen printing process, improvising their layout and allowing glitches and overlaps to inform the outcome. His compositions are familiar but uncanny, drawing from his practice, where landscapes and urban scenes are abstracted into dreamscapes.
Each of the five clocks is a one-off and has been signed by the artist.
The clock is made from cork and aluminium with a sweeping second hand.
